Restaurant: Sweet Lady JaneLocation: 8360 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, CAOK, so this isn't a restaurant, but it's completely amazing. They make the best cakes and treats and brownies, etc. there. We've had 3 different cakes from there in the past week and they've all been wonderful. I liked the chocolate raspberry the best. There's one I'd like to try though, it's a princess cake, with yellow cake and raspberries inside and marzipan on the outside. It looks amazing. I have the worst sweet tooth....

Restaurant: VioletLocation: 3221 Pico Blvd, Santa Monica, CAIncredible food. Somewhat high prices though. I went here on Thursday with the office and the meals are all kinda small, like tapas, with the intent to share among people. The baked macaroni and the endive salad are probably what stand out most in my mind of what we had. I'm a huge fan of macaroni and cheese (I don't know why), but this was incredible. It's described as: serrano ham, leeks, gruyere cheese. I describe it as amazing. The endive salad had figs in it and it was incredibly tasty. There was also mushroom ravioli and some kind of chicken dish that was very good. I didn't order anything myself, so I don't actually know what we got. All I know is we had a lot of it, and I'm betting it wasn't cheap (and with 4 bottles of a good wine, I really doubt it).
